Open Material System
We do not lock you into proprietary materials. The Ginger system is designed to process a wide range of standard, engineering and custom thermoplastics, giving teams more freedom to choose the right material for each application.
The Ginger system is fully open and not limited to proprietary material.
Temperature Range
The system supports a maximum nozzle temperature of 300°C and a heated bed up to 100°C. This allows processing of a wide range of standard and engineering thermoplastics.

Fiber Reinforced Materials
Carbon fiber and glass fiber reinforced compounds are supported. Critical wear components, including nozzle, screw and barrel, are made of hardened steel, allowing reliable processing of abrasive materials.
Pellet & Granulate Size
The system is designed for standard industrial pellets with a diameter of approximately 3–5 mm. Smaller particles can increase melting speed but may lead to inconsistent flow or clogging. Larger particles may cause feeding issues depending on geometry.
If you are unsure about your material size, we recommend contacting us before printing.
Flexible Materials
Flexible pellets can be processed without issue, provided they remain within the supported temperature range and pellet dimensions. This makes the system suitable for applications that require softer or more compliant parts.
Recycled Materials
Recycled polymers can be used if properly prepared and free of contamination. Material drying and quality consistency are critical for stable results, especially when working with irregular or recovered feedstock.
Compounds & Masterbatches
Custom compounds and masterbatches can be processed to adjust color, mechanical properties, flame retardancy and UV resistance. If you have a specific compound or application requirement, Ginger can test and optimize the process parameters for you.
